Who needs screen time when you can make your own phone? Kids will love painting and decorating their very own wooden play phone — complete with a keypad, screen, and even “camera lenses” on the back. Perfect for imaginative play and practicing/learning important emergency phone numbers
While crafting, kids will work on fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, and creativity as they design their custom phone.
Instructions
1. Paint your phone pieces
Choose your favorite colors and paint the front, back, and buttons. Let everything dry.
2. Glue it together
Glue on the frame and buttons to the front of the phone, and assemble and secure the camera on the back.
3. Decorate your style
Use paint, markers, or stickers to make your phone truly yours. Add stars, stripes, you could draw on your own “apps” for the screen, or even a pretend selfie!
5. Call a friend (pretend, of course!)
Your phone is ready for endless imaginative play.
