👟Lacing Shoes – Learn to Tie!

Practice makes progress! Kids can decorate and lace up their very own wooden shoes while learning an important life skill: how to tie shoelaces. With bright colors and clear “Left” and “Right” labels, this craft helps with hand-eye coordination, bilateral coordination (using both hands together), and executive functioning skills.

It’s the perfect mix of creative fun and real-world learning!

Instructions

1. Paint your shoes
Add fun colors and designs to each wooden shoe. Let them dry completely.

2. Glue together
Glue on your middle piece to make your shoes more interesting.

3. Add your laces
Thread the shoelaces through the holes, just like real shoes.

4. Try tying
Once you’ve got your shoes laces, practice tying bows. Remember: this has a lot of steps to remember, so be patient and keep trying.

5. Show off your skills
Keep practicing until you’re ready to try it on your real shoes!
